Introductory Course.
A three day introductory course will be held March 9-11th, 2010 in collaboration with the University of Alberta, Faculty of Extension.

ATTENTION: Band Managers, Lands Managers, Environment Managers & Infrastucture Managers Limited to 20 Alberta First Nations Participants.
Topics:- What is GIS?
- Fundamentals of GIS
- Storing Geographic Data
- Basic GIS Operations
- Coordinate Systems
- Projections
Participants must achieve a passing grade on the course examination to obtain a certificate from TSAG along with a letter from the U of A indicating course recognition for Course 4272 Fundamentals of GIS. Course credit can be applied to the Environmental Resource Management Certificate Program at the U of A.
NOTE: There is NO COST to attend the GIS Course! (whis is normally $515.00) Lunch is included. Participants are responsible for travel and accomodation costs, as well as making their own arrangements.
NO SHOWS will be charged the full course fees.
