Environmental Youth Camp

First Nations (AB) Technical Services Advisory Group (TSAG) is holding the 3rd annual Environmental Youth Camp this summer July 10-15, 2011. The camp targets First Nation youth in grades 9-12 and is focused on encouraging youth in the science and math education career paths. Participating students will explore a variety of themes including environmental stewardship, water conservation, habitat protection, and species at risk awareness.

When: July 10-15, 2011
Where: Centre for Outdoor Education (COE) lodge – located 10km west of Nordegg, AB

The selection criteria for the camp will be based on a reference letter from a current teacher and an essay submitted by students answering the question: Why would you make an excellent environmental youth delegate for your community? There is limited space available and spots fill quickly so please register early.
